 earth’s surface?’ Go back and look at the Mercator world map above to…ake a fairly accurate projection of each continent separately and then piece the map back together. Two examples are below, and as you look at them, ask yourself ‘Would anyone looking at these maps realize that oceans cover 71% of the earth’s surface?’ Go back and look at the Mercator world map above too.
