I Don’t Always Share Stats, but When I Do, They Are the Good Ones

I recently responded to a Tweet about people sharing their stats on Medium that I like it the same way I like Brussels Sprouts — in moderation. Don’t want it shoved down my throat in every story but it’s good for me to get an idea of what works on this platform and what doesn’t. Of course, what works is different for everyone.

In that vein, here are my top five, in order of publication.

1.) Maybe It’s Not Plagiarism in ‘the Grapes of Wrath’

February 2021 — 1K views; 696 reads

This was also my education into internal views vs external views — 26 people on Medium read this. The rest came from outside the platform. I like Writers’ Blokke, where it was published.

2.) The Simple Sadism of Olden Torture

March 2021–4.4K views; 2.5K reads

Always looking for the interesting. Incurably curious. Write a new book in my head once a month. Hopefully one will cross the finish line before I'm 80.
